Someone Else's Daughter
What will a reporter committed to justice do when the price of finding a kidnapped child is her own daughter’s life?
Diana Rosen is an investigative reporter who already fears for her fourteen-year-old daughter’s safety in their conservative community because Anna is gay, neurodivergent, and as outspoken as her mother.
After the local school board implements a ban on books deemed inappropriate for high schoolers, Diana can’t talk Anna out of fighting back. Then Anna’s best friend disappears, and her distraught mother asks Diana to investigate why the police refuse to take the case seriously—and to find out what happened to her.
Agreeing to investigate could put an even bigger target on Anna’s back, but not doing it would guarantee that another woman’s daughter is never found alive, or at all, and Diana can’t let that happen.
But the closer she gets to the truth, the more powerful people threaten Anna’s safety and freedom. Can Diana find someone else’s child without sacrificing her own?
